Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a while!! I'm so excited since I recently finished... the Police Station modular (set 10278)!!! I now have three modulars in my collection! I also used my allowance on this set... took me about three or four months to save up. How about we start with the minifigures? The police chief or captain, the veteran police officer (the one with the mustache), the graduate police officer, the donut shop owner, and newsstand owner/donut thief. Let's take it floor by floor. The first floors of all the buildings: the purple building is the donut shop. It's pretty simple -- it has a counter and two racks of donuts. Petite but SUPER cute. The tan building is the police station. This floor is the lobby. It has a front desk with some papers and a phone, a water dispenser, and a wall clock with some walkie-talkie holders. Surprisingly, the sand green building is part of the police station -- it's a jail that has only a toilet and a bench. This set has lots of hidden surprises -- the first one being early on. In the jail, you can lift up the bench to reveal a hidden escape route. Note the spoon -- the other prisoners have been digging their way to freedom. Also note the crack in the back of the building -- the final escape to freedom!! Let's take a look at the second floor. This time, the sand green areas of the building are visibly part of the police station from the inside. The apartment above the donut shop is, at first, surprising since it's for the newsstand owner/donut thief instead of the donut shop owner, but later on it's understandable. The apartment is pretty simple: a small kitchen, a rug, a bed, and I think that's a record player. (I'm not so good with this old-timey stuff -- forgive me!) Under the bed is another surprise -- a hatch to steal the donuts when the shop is closed. The police station area has two desks. One has a lamp, a piece of paper, and a phone. The other has a lamp, a typewriter, and a coffee cup. There's also one of those crime scene boards. My dad described it as "Oh, that's the board where the police go, 'He knows this person, who knows this person, who knows this person, so it must be him!'" The sand green area is a mug shot area. The third floor is the roof of the donut shop. Very cute. The roof has a water tower and the top is made from a gray Master Wu hat. The third floor has a meeting area and a bathroom. The only thing is the bathroom lacks a sink. There's a door that leads to an evidence room in the roof of the sand green building. The room contains a red jewel, a cookie, a crowbar, and four empty jars. I also love the Soap Suds ad -- really ties in with the other modulars. Overall I give this set a 97/100, simply because the bathroom lacked a sink and the jail inmates we roughing it -- they didn't even have a bed! That pretty much concludes this review!!
